Tarana is a form of composiion which blends the element of rhythm into the melody using the Nom Tom Bol. The Taranas also incorporate Tabla or Pakhawaj Bol. This course has compiled three Taranas in different Ragas. The student explores the composition and the elements of improvisation of a Tarana.

To review the Raga roop of the three Ragas
To do Swar Vistar and practice various Alankar patterns in the Ragas
To learn the Tarana Bandishes
To sing the Nom tom Bol variations and Sargams within the Bandish
The student should have completed HV310 at the academy and completed the course HVS205 and HVS305 OR The student should have equivalent years of learning experience, with an ability to sing a Swara Vistar,Chhota Khayal with self composed Aalap, Taan in at least fifteen Ragas. The student needs to be introduced to Taranas in Ragas like Yaman, Bhupali, Durga, Khamaj.
